Just started this and all caught up. I'm a sucker for post apocalyptic or social breakdown and SHTF stories.

Huge end game spoiler for the whole series:

Its aliens. According to the book this show is based on, it was a group of adolescent aliens who did it for entertainment and amusement, eg a human ant farm

Dammit! I read the spoiler! I just fliping new it!!! And the use of test subjets makes since.
I just can't wait to see what the aliens look like and see how Steven King presents. them. More like a human butterfly farm.

Since it looks like all the dirty secrets are out already, I wonder how much longer the show can really go? I guess they can shift focus past all the secrets and scandals and just go all in on the WROL aspect of society falling apart and the anarchy and formation of various factions fighting each other for resources. Which is fine by me. Give me a SHTF story without momma baby daddy drama .

Right but the TV show is already very very different. I'm sure the characters you speak of will be involved, but maybe not in the way you'd think.

So the characters are aliens?

I think
you could be right.. but just based on how different the show is.. I think the aliens might be more hostile. Something like the aliens trapped them there and the little stars could be alien "eggs" and will fall.. then hatch and use the trapped towns people as food. If they really hashed that out, that could be much longer than the 3 remaining episodes. If it's not.. They could just do the same premise as the book..But it just would be weird if they did given the fact they changed almost everything about the book .

So it looks like Barbie is Neo and then the 4 chosen ones have to kill Big Jim. That's gonna be hard to do since Jr won't allow it and since Jr is a chosen one this will make matters worse. Maybe the three should lead Big Jim into the barn and make him touch the mini dome and I'm sure it will kill him off. LOL!

Anyone else glad the she devil is dead? LOL

LOL...omg, now creepy stalker is a good guy? Kinda lame that NBC canceled Persons Unknown and decided this was worth making. PU wasnt even that good, but compared to this its The Prisoner. How in the hell does this show even have a 7.4 on imdb?

this is a CBS show.

Hope the dome fillets him alive kicking and screaming. Really hating that douchebag right now lol.

One more episode left and supposedly it wraps up Big Jim.

Yeah, just read the Wikipedia entry about Under The Dome and there are a total of 13 episodes. Can't wait to see what Junior sees and what happens to Big Jim and Barbie all along waiting for the close encounters of the third kind. LOL! I guess in the book they were called leatherheads.

I think I heard this was supposed to be a single season "mini-series", but got another season.

At the rate we're going, I don't see how we have anything (one?) left for season 2.

Went to watch it last night and damn thing didn't start till half an hour past schedule so I'll have to download it now, schmucks.

Judging from some of the other comments, is this not suposed to comeplete the book in 1 season?

Wow, are you kidding me with that open-ended-ass finale?? They're lucky there's going to be another season or else I'd put a fucking dome around CBS.

I wonder if they will just decide to break the egg open after they find it again and eat the insides like Balut.

I've missed a few episodes, because those bastages at CBS can't pick one fracking schedule and stick to it. Don't know what I missed, and I'm sure as hell not going to pay Amazon to watch a few episodes.

I'll just pick up a used copy of the damn book. Will be better than the show, anyway.

The show got off to a good start then it dropped off a cliff.

I wish they would have stayed with the Lord of the Flies slant of resource scarcity. All the actors aside from Jim are average at best.

They only screwed up the last episode for me, big bang crap ran for half the timer, so I just watched it online.
