The only time I wear undershirts is under a suit, and I rarely wear suits. Both are too hot. I sweat very easily, with the slightest temperature rise.

Not true.....I've been going commando for about six years now, and I have a "nice" girl. It's a matter of personal preference.

It's 80 here today and one entire wall of my office is a window which faces east so I get morning to noon sun to warm up my space. While it isn't overly hot in here now it can get warm at times and I don't like to sweat.

If it's hot and I'm wearing a nice button down or polo shirt, then I'm more likely to wear an undershit, not less likely.

At the end of the day, I'd rather have a very stinky undershirt and a non-stinky polo/button-down rather than just a moderately stinky polo/button-down. This way, I can avoid having to do a machine wash on the shirt (which'll slowly damage it) or pay the price of taking it to a dry cleaner...

Makes sense to me--undershirts cost $9 for a 3-pack...Nice button-downs and polos are well into the double digits...

Yes, I wear undershirts, but only when it's warm and I know I'm gonna perspire.
 
I wear undershirts for more than one reason. The first is to protect the regular shirt from deodorant stains and the like. The main reason, though, is because the garmets are watching everything i do, and if i don't where undershirts, they get mad.
