I always used to see these T.V. ads and newspaper listings and always thought "What sort of idiot doesn't know they have property/funds out there!?"

Well, turns out I'm that sort of idiot.

Just claimed my $1,300 in unclaimed Upromise funds from the Wisconsin DOR. (6-8 weeks for processing). Christmas bonus!!!

I can't remember the exact amount but I think it was $1700 that I simply lost track of while moving 5 times during college. This was a while ago but it was some kind of insurance policy that I had as a kid that had accrued that much money and was just sitting in the state's coffers.
