I liked the original Xbox controller, but then again I have big hands.

The Wii seems to have the most promise if it is indeed as interactive as it's purported to be.

The N64 controller was different, but it was at the beginning of the switch to analog so Nintendo had to find a way to put BOTH the D-pad and the analog stick in a primay position. Their solution was not great, but it wasn't terrible either. I wasn't a fan of the C buttons though. I like the button layout of the GameCube controller - they recognize that you usually use one or two buttons more frequently than others, so they designed the controller with that in mind. It works pretty well for me, because I associate the feel of the buttons with actions (which is one reason I love the SNES controller with its concave X and Y buttons).

i too like the PS2 controller. i really really loved the SNES one (i had a super famicom... and the buttons look cool), but the PS2 one was just so comfortable and fits my hands perfectly. when you can use a controller for hours without getting your fingers sore, that's a sign that it's a good controller.

They're going to milk that for all it's worth. They know it's going to generate traffic on something this simple. It's just a boxed up video game console people!!

Very ghetto...

Lets hope the games are decent and I wonder what the online 'experience is'.

I think they have analog triggers on the PS3 controller fianlly... it's about time! Analog trigges are great for racing games.
I guess it depends on the games you like to play. RPGs, puzzle games, fighting games, I prefer the d-pad.

I concur. personally I have a hard time with analog sticks, too hard to find/hold center or near center.

Sure is shiny, impossible to keep looking nice. You just can't do shiny dark colors, white works well though.

I don't about. I kinda have to crimp my hands just to press the shoulder buttons where as the Xbox controllers feel like they were designed to fit snugly in my hand.

don't know about you, but I don't constantly touch my console except to load/unload games. Not sure why everybody is complaning about getting finger prints on it.

Well you can't expect them to say anything nice, Sony is evil afterall, and they need to die and burn in hell and go out of business etc....

I have that same problem - but with the PS2 controller's crappy analog sticks. ;)
