Not to be a thorn but why is that unbelievable? 1700MHz is a nice speed but with H2O and a new stepping I expect more;) I wish intel boards had those holes so I could attach a copper swift or alpha 8045:( Or simply do like this fella did with my H2O block. WIth this method you could almost make the block as bigg as you want extending way over the sides of the cpu allowing a better cooling affect. WIth computer i ma not sure if I would want to use it or simply hang it on the wall to look at with MONA.

I don't get it... Why spend that much money, time, and effort for an extra 100mhz over what's on the market? I mean, what's he going to get out of that 1700mhz, that he couldn't with 1600mhz?

I don't think its' really worth the effort either, and frankly I've heard of XP 1900+'s overclocking further then that w/just air cooling.
