hi all,
something weery i saw few days back.
i received an e-card from someone, it contained an EXE file with 64KB of size
when running it, it runs a 3D-MAX clip, i think its size wont be less than 100MBs
how the hell did that happen?
i mean zipping the original file into this signinficant size drop, and how was it converted to EXE?
anyone who can solve me this mystory?

Well, because the file itself is not a clip, it's merely a set of instructions tell your computer to render in real time what you saw. So therefore, it is an .exe file.

Was it actually a 3D STudio MAX clip... was it a complicated 3D scene or look closer to computer game graphics? If it was complicated, I doubt it was rendering in real time.

Makes excellent video compression softwear that can make MPEGs into EXEs I believe.
It's the same vid compression format and software that Blizzard uses in Diablo I, II, and other stuff for the Cinematics stuff, in game movies.

Ever hear of a self-extracting zip file? It's a file that has a tiny unzip program mashed together with the actual zip archive.

The same can be done with any file format, for example a flash file (SWF) plus its extractor.

The other possibility is that the e-card is used your net connection to download the clip.
