So I've been trying to figure out my account name and password for the Sony Station (EQ, SW Galaxies, etc.)

I thought my username was of the form FirstNameLastName, so I was trying passwords for that combination.

I eventually gave up and just typed 'password' as the password for the hell of it.

And I got in.

But it wasn't my account.

I now have full access to some other bloke's account on Sony Station (who has the same name as me) who apparently sets his password to 'password'.

Well, email him and advise him to change his password to something other than "password." What happened to common sense? You'd think something in your brain would say, "How about making the password a little bit difficult so random people won't be able to access my account?"

I already logged out... the guy didn't have any activity since last year so I don't think he'd care anymore.

Nope... it's registered under New Zealand with a New Zealand email address and it has a Star Wars Galaxies transaction on it ... I never played SWG.

And my last name, which is part of the username, is not common at all.
 
I use the same nickname on pretty much every site I visit. There are a few I use though, and a few variations of a single password. When I come to a site I haven't been to in a while, I try combinations of usernames and passwords that I've used. Once I logged in to a site, but it wasn't my account. I looked at the profile and the info was definitely not mine. Didn't do anything though.
