Unattended Tape Backups?

aggressor

I recently bought a Tape Drive to do nightly backups, but with Microsofts Backup program, it never starts, or if it does, it just loads up the backup program regularly and does nothing.

What I would like is to have unattended, automatic backups done every night of the entire hard drive. I tried using the software included with the Tape Drive (Its a Seagate 4gig uncompressed\8gig compressesd Travan tape drive) but it seems it's based off of Windows Backup so the problem still exsists.

Does anyone know how to do this? Is it possible to do it with Windows or with the software included with the Tape Drive? (The program is called Backup Exec made by Veritas)

Thanks for the list, but even after following the instructions, unattended backups still do not work (I'm using Windows 2000 Server btw). The regular Backup Dialog pop up but thats it. It just sits there 🙁 Not automatic
