Not really my point. I just think it's amusing that the politicians elected to run that state acknowledge a right to run away in public but not a right to realistically kill an aggressor in public.

that is NOT what they say in the article. I read it that way too at first as it seems poorly worded.

What they are saying is that everyone has a right to go from point a to point b safely. They are not saying he had a right to run away from the situation.

Obama needs a black on white crime like this Trayvon case to manifest. it will either:

1) allow him to implement marshal law onto the citizens of the US

or

2) allow him to act as if he's quelling the violence and hate which would lead to a 2012 victory. after all, can't win on the economy, education, healthcare, wars, jobs, housing market, etc.

Total agreement but I'm a cynical asshole so I may be biased.

Here's a new topic! Me and a black coworker friend were talking the other day about the death penalty. We both agreed that it should be enforced way more than it already is and that they spend way too much money on making it "humane". I suggested why not just go back to a large tree and some rope and he said I was being racist. What the wut?

Yeah I get the whole lynching of African Americans thing but to say I'm being racist just for suggesting that hanging would be the best option for execution? Come on man.
 
Death penalty should be you die the same way you took a life. Dying with a needle in the arm and going to sleep is nothing to fear.
