After I finish the Remove Present Catalyst/drivers etc. step.....then it tells you it must restart to complete: It starts back up BUT in SAFE Mode w 1st message: "Quick Stream Error: The license installed is not intended for this computer." Then another: "C: \Windows\system32\atiadlxx.dll not for Windows or has an error"
I have now called AMD T. Support and they have given me a Case #:
The TS person sad he had NEVER heard of a system going into SAFE Mode like mine does on re-boot. I realize now, he was following and sticking to his regular script even if BIG variation and NEW Problem. He told me 1] once again uninstall AMD 2] Download/Install CCleaner - to remove ALL AMD stuff from registry............I told him that I would now be in SAFE Mode, ad he said to use CCleaner in safe mode and restart. He seemed to think it would be easy/self explanatory figuring out where/what to remove using the CCleaner = WRONG! I once "bricked a puter using that program thus am very wary of it......I carefully investigated and I did find a bunch of old AMD entries under "dll" I believe....I removed them. Restarted....right back into SAFE Mode where I was.....and can't believe it but I got the same BUMMER messages. I had to use a Restore Point to get back into reglular useable 'puter again......tried one more time to see IF possibly it would update the AMD Card Drivers....back to SAFE Mode w same Messages again???
Will be back to AMD Tech Support on Monday.....unless someone here reads this and understands the problem and thus can share the solution with me...............

THANKS michael

http://amd-quick-stream.software.informer.com/3.6/

AMD Quick Stream Technology is an Internet stream optimization software powered by AppEx Networks’ IPEQ (IP End to end Quality Of Service) technology that prioritizes and shapes the Internet data streams flowing in and out the PC, allowing the high‐priority streams and apps to dynamically enjoy the better network resources when competing the limited bandwidth with other less important ones.
At the sametime it boosts the overall Internet performance by shaping both the inbound and outbound traffic to eliminate or reduce the chances of traffic congestions. AMD Quick Stream Technology offers the end users smoother and enhanced Internet experiences.

I have no idea why AMD would add this to their drivers.
It is (at least i think that it is) some kind of load balancing for internet data : QoS, Quality Of Service .

THANK YOU! I use W'7 64bit.
Interesting what you found......ain't Google GREAT?
I will now check out Driver Sweeper...........any tips on how to properly use it in this case?
PS - Using CCleaner\Registry\Application Paths\........I do SEE maybe 10 entries with AMD and/or Catalyst in them..........should I remove them too?

Can you try to install graphic drivers without installing the quickstream part ?
If i understand correctly, quickstream is not needed at all for your graphic drivers to function. It is for the ethernet adapter i assume.

A85X chipset also has ethernet functionality. Might be your ethernet driver that for some reason causes your graphics driver to fail. I am just guessing here.

YIKES! I tried following your advice, kinda, almost didn't get back here.....I uninstalled AMD Quicksilver and it rebooted into SAFE Mode............Thank GOD!
I am back..............must have tried 6 different restore points until I got out of SAFE Mode........had to be due to changes made with CCleaner, I imagine, it restored to a
place where CCleaner is not installed.
SCARRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

PLOT Thickens: I went into Device Manager to SEE if my Video Card Drivers would still say "Operating Properly"......they didn't, said they needed to be "reinstalled"....so on my HD7850 Card, I told it to reinstall, I now only have the V. Drivers which are on the AMD A10 5800 CPU.......and they say they need to be reinstalled too.......BUT I dare not mess with that.
For some unknown reason.....my AMD Catalyst which is usually in my Programs and Features is NO longer there.....so one cannot do the Normal Uninstall AMD Catalyst et al!
I am tempted to just try to download and install the 13.12 AMD Drivers for the HD 7850 Card.......getting so tired though of praying my way out of SAFE Mode.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
