Unable to shrink a drive on Windows 7

Hello AT,

I mistakenly installed windows 7 on an un-partitioned 1TB disk. Once the windows 7 loaded, I opened diskmgmt.msc to shrink the 1TB drive to create other drives.

I right click on the disk and selected shrink volume, It only gave me an option to shrink 476000MB approx rest of the space was assigned to C drive.

I created D and E drive but I was not able to shrink C drive which was of approx 476000MB

What should I do?

It probably will work if you first delete D & E partitions, then shrink C then re-establish the D & E.
