Unable to go to several sites

I have been pulling my hair out on this on. I have 3 computers at home on one computer I am unable to go to most sites (cnn.com,Intel.com) but I can go to google and yahoo.com. I have checked the following
There is no spyware or viruses on the computer
I reformated the entire Harddrive and reloaded Windows.
Replaced the NIC and Network cable
Replaced the Router/firewall
When I ping CNN the addresss resolves correctly
Problem exsists in both IE and Firefox.

The system is a AMD Thunderbird 700. On the other 2 computers everthing works great.What am i missing?

try lowering the MTU on the trouble boxes...this should be asked in the networking forum

Did you enable any kind of port filtering on your router or PC? I had the same problem on my linux box until I disabled the firewall.

All port filtering is turned off.

Did you reformated your HDD for that reason? Anyways what OS are you using? what is your LAN setup and protocols?
