Hello Everyone,

I have a dual monitor setup running Debian Linux with two Dell U3014 monitors and one MSI NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 graphics card. One monitor is connected using a DVI cable, and the other with an HDMI cable.

I'm able to get the full 2560x1600 resolution on the monitor with the DVI cable but only 1920x1200 on the monitor with the HDMI cable.

Even if I disconnect the monitor with the DVI cable and only run one monitor with the HDMI cable I still only get 1920x1200 resolution in either Window 7 or Debian Linux, so it seems like the problem is with the HDMI.

Is there any way to get 2560x1600 on the HDMI cable?

Thanks in advance.

"Standard" HDMI output, only supports up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz, nothing higher.

Newer cards, support a sort of "extended HDMI", that can do 2560x1440/1600 @ 60Hz, and HDMI2.0-capable cards can do 4K@60.

Sounds like that card only supports "standard" HDMI output. I know it certainly doesn't support HDMI2.0.
