Unable to connect to network

Hey guys, I hope you can help me with a very aggravating problem. My laptop very recently stopped being able to connect to networks. Under my wireless card utility I can see that it still detects networks, but when i attempt to connect vista simply says 'can not find any additional networks'

This is not a router problem, I have attempted with 4 different wireless sources (2 friends, Uni and my own) All of which had other users connected.

OS: Vista
Router: Linksys WRT150N
Wireless card: Dell wireless 1395 WLAN minicard

Hope you guys can save me from reformatting!

A quick update to help narrow the problem: If I go in and manually add a network (Name, security etc) Then i can connect to that network. But I still can't automatically detect networks.
