I disagree. Doing so would bring all the assholes who lurk strictly in OT into threads that would otherwise be very informative and mature.

thats where it gets entertaining!

This.
OT is for cutting loose. The other forums are for serious discussion.

As predicted, this thread gets moved.

You're lucky it wasn't locked as it should have been.
There is already a thread on the same subject.

I've been here long enough to notice that the posting trends declined after the separation of the forums. Bring cars and girls back to OT, and you'll bring back people who will contribute to threads that otherwise they wouldn't have.

Bring back cameras and consumer electronics too. I'd actually post in those threads but don't bother to sift through all those other sub-forums to find things that interest me. If it was back in OT I'd post in them.

The Garage, OT, and P&N are really the only forums here that I post in anymore. Can't tell you the last time I went into L&R, probably a couple weeks, and it has been literally months since I've been in the photography forum or consumer electronics.

No way, in fact I wish there were even more sub forums. Some of the categories can definitely be tweaked as well.

OT sucks with out YAGT's

x10

they're still around, however:
1: fewer people see them, as they are an AGONIZING click away from OT (memory doesn't
always work, you know)
2: due to less clicking, there are less people creating wonderful YAGTs, as they realize less
will read and thus contribute.

I'd say bring L&R and Garage back to OT....though that might step on the toes of some newly-dubbed mods 🙁

such a difficult proposition, this.

Nah, leave them separate. It's easy to click a link and view those types of threads if you want to.

I agree with olds.

Traffic has slowed for certain areas of the forums but I like having things separated. I say keep them the way there are.

There should be an option to view all forums together or individually as one pleases. Other boards can do it.

The Health and Fitness forum definitely should stay separate as the responses and discussions regarding topics that fall with in that category are much more on topic and informative than they were when they were included in OT.

Hell yes, bring back YAGT and YACT. OT is boring now.

That's odd. Your join date is for *AFTER* the forums were split up. HMMMMmmmmmm...

I support this. L&R is too strict and serious compared to the YAGT threads from OT days. I could do without YACT as it lacks the entertainment value of YAGTs
