Ok I inherrited a p3 800 with dual 20 gigs raided that i'm planning to make into a server. I'm undoing the raid and taking out one of the harddrives. fdisked/formatted the harddrive but when I boot up I can't do anything cause it says, "No Array Is Defined" and it won't let me get passed that to install win2k server.

Please help!

Are you still using the RAID as an IDE controller and just with one of the disks? Windows 2000 has a problem automaticly detecting raid controllers, so maybe thats the issue? I'm not sure the exact error that give unfortunetly, so I'm not sure if this matches up or not. If this is the problem, when the install screen comes up I believe F6 loads the raid drivers

You may have to tell your raid controller that you no longer have a raid setup. If it still thinks that a raid array is there, that may be what is causing your problem.

oh yeah I forgot to mention, I am not using the raid card anymore, should I take it out of the PCI slot? i'll try that right now.
