I agree with the panel, but from what I can tell it doesn't really mean anything since it's not legally binding anyway. If he steps foot outside the embassy he'll still get arrested and shipped to Sweden and possibly to the US.

No, he's an accused rapist and should stand trial for it since it's likely he'll lose. In an ideal world Sweden will change their laws against trials in abstentia. Then they won't need to take him into physical custody to convict his ass like he richly deserves and he'll never make it out of Swedish jail to be extradited to the U.S. The "enemy of the state" stuff is bullshit and the U.S. should publicly declare that Assange won't be put on trial for the supposed crime of being a journalist.
