So does that sound good lads?

EvilYoda, if you read this let us know if you're down for some debauchery.

Works for me. My wife will have to abstain from the debauchery though. She's preggers and has to be sharp for the exam in the AM. She might retire to the hotel early and leave me to fend for myself from your freaks.

Sounds like we have a location. Now what time does this soiree kick off?

7:00 sound like a plan?

No promises, especially with the location being in the loop, but I'll tell him about it when I get into town tomorrow evening and see what we can manage.

Someone PM me a name and # so I can call if we plan to show up.

awe, i was just staying with my friend in wicker park... would have been fun to come hang with you guys.

Hey, I work in Wicker Park.

vi_edit, I don't know what Dublin's is like but I'll ask people I know about it. It looks good. The places I can think of are in the River North area (e.g. Rock Bottom) which may be a bit out of the way.

Depends what you like, I'm not really a fan of rock bottom, it's too generic, but if they have the roof pattio open it pretty good.

I'm thinking I'll probably leave my car at work and take the Blue Line in, anything within a walk of the Loop is fine then.

transfer to Red and get off at Chicago, 6-7 block walk to the Drake (provided that is what has been decided)

I'll be in Chicago on the 7th for the next Raelian Cellular Transmission. If anyone is interested in having their cellular plan transmitted telepathically to the Elohim, please contact me.

That's the day of the marathon. Be advised that there will be major street closures.

The marathon runs on both sides of my block....I'll be trapped by thousands of very sweaty people.

that makes two of us...and btw...it ain't the only time of the year that our street is trapped by very sweaty people 😱

I believe there was talk last time of meeting at Steamworks. Any takers?

It would be closer to home but unfortunately they don't serve alcohol.

We're leaving Peoria around 2:00. If you guys want to get there at 6:00 or something and hold a table we'll try and get there by 6:30.

I really don't know what sort of time to account for getting into downtown @ 6:00 on a Friday.

Any suggestions for least traffic route coming from the south? Likely would be coming up via I-55. Should we take that all the way in?

inbound I55 should be relatively ok

the outbound will be fubar'd at that time

once in the city all bets are off, if LSD is jammed you could spend a while on it getting to the hotel. If it is getting off and going through the city would be quicker

speaking from experience taking the redline to the southside on a daily basis (which runs in the median of the expressway), in-bound traffic should be fine.

So Coq d'Or then?

Why not, if we decide we don't like it or want to go elsewhere after a bit there are 11tybillion bars in the Rush St. area
