Ummm why isn't my domain transferred to my new web host?

I've was using 1and1 and then registered a new account with HostPC.

I changed my nameserver to point to HostPC in GoDaddy's control panel.. that was done in the morning of July 31st..

Did I forget to do something? Is there a "link" between 1and1 and my domain that I should "break"?

Edit: Looks like it works for everyone else except me :frown: How can I tell my ISP to flush the DNS cache (if possible)?

Propagation can take anywhere from 12-72+ hours. What is the domain?

Yes I know That's why I changed to HostPC.. what does it have to do with 1and1 since I'm moving away from them?

Uh...it was just to let you know that your nameserver change is propagating.

Whenever I register a domain with NameCheap.com 99% of the time it propogates within 12 hours.

Perhaps for your connection, but it is different for others. When I update through godaddy it takes no more than 12, but others have to wait up to 24 hours to see it.

umm maybe the nameservers are wrong? ask host PC if they created your account.

Assuming you got the nameserver right, you're going to have to wait.

You may just have a craptasticly slow ISP that keeps it's DNS cache far too long. Just wait, it'll work eventually.

I think you might be right.. it's been almost a week and I'm still seeing the same old webhost..

I'm have edited my host file but this is just a stop gap solution..

Can anyone verify that it works in other places? It's http://www.screw3d.com/

If it works you should see "Yay!".

Can I actually tell my ISP to do something? I'm on campus connection so my ISP is actually my college..

godaddy took like 24 hours to get mine propagated

you cant.

you can create an entry in your hosts file for it thought haha

edit: try ipconfig /flushdns but that only caches local
