To be fair, the neighbor's kids did ring the doorbell and ASK if they could come over and play with our kids first. Then it was a matter of "Kids say the darnedest things" once permission was granted.

It's not a big deal though, their two girls are good kids. If they weren't we wouldn't be willing to watch them for a couple hours after school when they get off the bus until one of their parents gets home from work on those odd-scheduled overlapping work days of theirs.

Besides, it tends to keep MY kids out of our hair for a while too.

I don't see ANYTHING wrong with this.

My kids/neighborhood kids do this all the time. THey ask parent > go to kids parents and ask.

Nothing wrong here.

There's nothing wrong with this.

The fact that the neighbor explicitly told her kids not to come back home until it's time for dinner was kind of funny in a o_O way though.

We had a similar situation. Lady who lives a couple blocks from us (our younger son went to kindergarten with her youngest) drives down our driveway, tells her two boys (never met the older boy) to get out and ring our doorbell to play with our two boys for a few hours. She was already backing out of the driveway before my wife ran out and told her we were headed out and take her offspring with her.

About a year ago the lady ambushed me and asked if the two 6 y.o. could play together since we were outside. I said 'sure' and the lady took off for 4 hours and I had to return her son to her house.

We spend a lot of time outside and this lady will occasionally drive by and try to drop kids off and leave. Now I always say we are leaving 'for practice' in a few minutes.

Huh? OP said these were kids, why would you need/want to see pics of a 7 year old girl??.

Oh she was 7..? I guess you are right, don't need or want pics like that.
