i bought some wheels and tires for my car from on ebay and paid the seller $60 for shipping. the seller shipped the tires as four different packages and sent me four confirmations numbers. they were all supposed to be delivered on tuesday jan 18th. i am pretty sure the shipper did not pay for sig confirmations, so i actuallly took that day off and stayed home to wait for the fedex guy o come with my packages. the fedex guy arrives and i see him carrying one tire, so i ask him if he had four tires or only that one. he tells me he only has one tire. i told him there are supposed to be four and he replies that fedex might be holding the other three "for security reasons since tires are a hot item". so i am like ok whatever... i will just track the packages online and call customer support to see where the hell my other tires are. i call up customer support and they tell me that there was supposed to be one more tire for me on a truck to be delivered today, but the other two, they are not sure where they are and need to find out where they went. so the next day, i track the packages online and the two missing tires are in PA (i am in NJ)??? so i call up customer support again and they tell me that the two tires were loaded on the wrong truck and are being re-routed back to NJ, with a scheduled delivery date of jan 20th. i tell him i dont want them to attempt delivery to my house and i want to pick up the packages. he says ok and calls over to NJ location where i am supposed to pick up my tires. he even gives me the phone number so i can call in the morning to confirm pick up. that leads me to right now. i am on the phone with the pick up center... been on hold for a good 20 mins (i actually think they forgot about me becuz i am just sitting here like a dumbass holding the phone). anyway... while i am on hold, i decide to go online and track the packages again, figuring nothing could possibly be wrong. oh boy was i wrong. now... my two packages in PA... they are still in PA, while the third package which was actially in NJ is now in TX?!?!?! wtf man! this is getting a little pretty frickin ridiculous. how many times can they f#ck up my stuff? i am not sure how much the seller paid for shipping these tires, but being that fedex F'ed up the delivery of my packages quite a few times... am i by any way entitled to some kind of reimbursement? is fedex normally this f#cked up?

by the way, on the auction, the seller said he ships UPS, but he shipped fedex. i don't know if this means anythig, but it just pissed me off that fedex sucks ass.

sorry... currently editing for spelling

cliffnotes - fedex keeps screwing up the routing of 3 out of my 4 packages, can i get a reimbursement of shipping costs?

update - the packages in PA are still in PA, and will not make it back to NJ today either. they opened a trace on the TX package. fedex can suck my ass.

cliff notes would be good.

BUT
"for security reasons since tires are a hot item"
I guess fedex isn't such a good shipping service after all. However, it might be just you that got this lucky with fedex shipping you one tire. Otherwise fedex would be out of business right now.;)

sorry about your luck. i'm sure they will come thru eventually...at least you can track them and you weren't being screwed over by the eBay guy. But don't hold your breath on getting them soon (hope your car doesn't really need them right now).

i am not in DIRE need of these tires, but i would like them ASAP. i have TWO slow leaks in my current wheels and need to pump them up every morning.... pain in the ass, but still works. man i hate fedex.

ur wish is granted.

You could call or email the company to reimburse your shipping costs.:)

well the thing is... i paid the ebay guy, who paid fedex. so if anything, i think fedex would want the ebay guy to call for reimbursement, and i guess that is where it gets tricky. i am sorta under the impression the ebay guy couldn't care less, since he has already fulfilled his obligation to ship. it's fedex are screwed up over and over again, and since this is not directly effecting the ebay seller, i sorta doubt he would take the time out of his day to bitch and moan to fedex about a reimbursement.

Don't you have tire stores in your town?

I would never go to e-bay for tires.

yeah, i went to an STS Auto place but they did not have the tires for my car. they said they had to order them, so i was like whatever and left. while looking for a new wheel (i have steel wheels) to replace a dented one, i saw a guy selling stock honda wheels with tires for a pretty good price. so i took the plunge and here i am getting it up the ass by fedex.

hmmm...stock Honda wheels+tires plus an ebay guy who doesn't jump at the chance to get his shipping money back...I'd lay odds those tires were stolen. I guess most stuff on ebay is anyway.

Sounds like waiting to order the tires would have been the safer play at this point. Of course hindsight is always 20/20.

yes, it definitely was safer to order from sts. but i figured i needed at least one new wheel to replaced a dented one (dented and leaking air). so the cost of the 4 new tires + replacement wheel + labor was probably going to be around the same price as i paid for the ebay wheel/tire combo. i think i am more pissed off at the uncertainty of my packages then anything else. if they can tell me when they will get here, i will be ok. but i took tuesday off work to wait for the tires at hom since fedex just tosses stuff on ur doorstep and jets. then they tell me the tires will be here another day, but nope. then another, and still nope. god dammit, make up ur minds or get your tracking straight.
