Um, what is eggnog?

UPDATE: so i followed the recipe for egg free eggnog on that website, not because i don't want to eat eggs, just couldn't be arsed to get into that mess. I didn't want to make loads in case i didnt like it, so i divide the measurements by 4, and had to convert them into a medium that i could understand (us brits don't use 'cups'). So it was alrite, but nutmeg is horrible. I am going to say i have 'semi' tried it, as i didn't actually make it with eggs, and the measurements were a little off. I think i'll wait to try store bought or a good cooks/old ladie that knows everything about cooking----before i make my mind up

I love egg nog. It doesn't really taste like eggs to me. It is sweet and tastes so good!

Egg Nog is made from eggs, milk, heavy cream and I forget what else. It is very rich and heavy and has a light yellow/golden color.

It's usually served with a little nutmeg sprinkled on top. It can be spiked with a bit of rum.

I usually make boiled custard - very similar to egg nog, but the eggs are "cooked" by the very hot milk stuff. Pretty easy to make - only milk, eggs, and sugar.

Yummy.

I love eggnog, at least the store bought kind. I don't really worry about my arteries because I've got other things to do that. Try this baked potato filling: sour creme, butter, and chedder cheese all mixed together. And that's in addition to filet mignon, fatty salad dressings, three kinds of cake, cookies, and brownies. And that's just Christmas Eve, the real eating doesn't start until Christmas Day.

It's nasty and it's mostly made of warm cream. They spike it with some alcohol but if you ask me i'd rather drink the alcohol without they nogg.

good eggnog is nice and alcoholic its a good part alcohol. if you've tasted "safe" stuff then ofcourse it sucks
