um, bad memory from the start?

ok so i am settin up a server here in california, and it consists of (currently installed)

512mb pc2100 crucial memory.
1300mhz duron proc.
asus a7n266vm mobo

and
beeps that go...
duuuuuuhhh diiiiiiiii duuuuuuuhh diiiiiii etc.

it doesnt seem to be proc overheating as no mater what, it takes 8 seconds to start beeping, even if i turn on, beep, off, on, it takes 8 seconds.

dah, and im only out here till next thursday.

so you think its bad ram? or what?

and yea, i get to figure out how to wire up some cat 5 cable connectors.

I'm not sure which post code that is, but try reseating everything including your proc.

As far as the cat5, the order is:

White-Orange
Orange
White-Green
Blue
White-Blue
Green
White-Brown
Brown
