Um, Amazon Prime delivery for something is April 21.

Just checked prime now, no delivery available.
You have to check every hour. Keep your checkout tab open and then just refresh occasionally. They are slammed right now. But what they are doing is releasing new delivery times throughout the day. We were able to get both of our orders in that way.

According to CNN: Amazon warehouses are dealing with at least nine facilities hit so far with coronavirus cases, according to Amazon and local media reports.

That sucks.

My package from a Amaonz.de reseller/partner was delivered this morning by DHL. Just under a week from ordering to arrival. You go, Amazon.de!

Just wait until places like Con-Agra get hit. The basic prepared foods of American will fall.

I expected a delay, but from two days to a month.

On March 22 I ordered a movie and the expected delivery date was April 21. The movie arrived today. They must be getting so many orders that their system isn't dealing with due dates correctly. It must be automatically stretching out the due dates but they seem to be turning stuff around faster.

Yeah, I'm worried that we're going to see some more food shortages when people start getting sick at the food distribution warehouses and factories and they have to shut them down for decontamination.

I made an order and it will arrive in May, then changed my mind on an item and tried to cancel but says it's already being shipped out. Guess it's more the shipping companies that are backlogged, and not Amazon itself.

Same, I'm also worried about it from an agriculture import perspective once LATAM gets hit hard.

I think the worst is over for food shortages. If anything, we're going to have surplus of food soon. People are buying pork like I've never seen and we're seeing temporary shortages right now. But there's like over a year worth of frozen pork in cold storage at various warehouses. Some of that is from tariff trade war with China last year. But I know we have crap load of pork in storage in this country so expect supermarkets to be overfilling with it soon. People can't eat all that pork.

Did much the same, but then it dawned on me I could order elsewhere. Ordered from Staples, actually a few bucks cheaper and they are doing free shipping due to COVID-19.

Went to Amazon and cancelled, and got the message about already shipping. Cancelled anyway, and a bit later got an email the order was successfully cancelled.

Amazon are not the bad guys that everyone keeps trying to make them out to be. They are just prioritizing needs over wants.

AmazonPantry is suspended until further notice. You can still order many if not most of the pantry items though, and they will arrive in normal (Prime) shipping time.

Non-essentials are a month+, I ordered some replacement air filters for a filtration unit and they show April 21st (ordered 4 days ago), so yeah it's just order prioritization.

Holy crap. My nose drops did finally ship on the day it was supposed to be delivered (today) but USPS sent it to the wrong place before it left FL. That's 2 out of 3 packages with shipping problems and one of those was the wrong item and quantity. I've only ordered 3 times from them this month. Maybe we should just shut everything down if this is how it's going to be.

"Shut it down. Just shut everything down!"
Why?
"I didn't get my nose drops!"

😛

This is only going to get worse. You think this is bad when only a few states are on lockdown? Wait until the whole country is on lockdown.

Why do you say that, isn't Trump planning a big get together by Easter & it'll be huge? Unless of course he sees his base literally erode in front of his eyes, maybe then just maybe he'll have a change of heart :expressionless:

I ended up cancelling my order and ordered from Prime Cables instead. Honestly I almost feel bad buying stuff this is suppose to be a state of emergency and stuff should be closed, but whatever, if it's open it's open. 😛

I noticed Amazon Prime has some ship dates of 2-4 days for USB 1 and USB 2 devices like external sound cards and other usb gadgets. Not the most popular versions but there you go.

I looked today and there is little or no food and/or or delivery available from local grocery delivery, instacart, Costco, Schwan's, or Prime Now. Only fast food/takeout left.

Yeah, I went with Monoprice on the cable order for my Work From Home setup when I saw that my Amazon order was stuck in "preparing for shipment" for a week. They delivered it cross country from California in 2 days 🙂

I had to order the tail piece to our pool sweep. Ordered last Friday and it got here yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised because delivery date was actually for today. The wife ordered some dishwasher tablets on Monday and we got it today.

So USPS says my nosedrops were picked up in baltimore, MD on the 23rd and that's it. Amazon's tracking says it's been bouncing around FL (collecting covid-19). I ain't touching this box for at least a week if it ever arrives.

Amazon just set a world record for my latest order.

Placed on March 26 2020

Order tracking page says it was delivered Nov 12 2019.
