Right, Amazon decided not to sell anything because they like losing money for no good reason.

FYI: PrimeNow is so busy right now, it's hard to get delivery window times. They are selling so much. It's going to be like that in any city where they have PrimeNow or Amazon Fresh available. They are shifting resources to essential items only. To say they do not have any, quite frankly is stupid.
They make more money not expediting orders with Prime. They already have my Prime subscription so they can ignore me. I was pleased to hear that they banned 3900 price-gouging re-sellers, but I doubt that will prevent others from doing the same.

Hey, about Amazon Prime for Food. I noticed they had decent pricing on some canned items, but there wasn't a way to change the default quantity from one to something else before adding it to the cart. For instance, you can buy one can of soup, but not five, before adding it to the shopping cart. Strange.

Link to the news story saying "Amazon prime deliveries are now a month". Oh, you can't.

It doesn't say shipping is a month out, but Amazon prioritizing essentials has been known for a while:

Also, you don't need to buy a special bowl to microwave popcorn, a plain paper bag will work also. Google it.

I highly doubt they make more money not selling products for a month. Expediting orders is just fulfillment. It's one of the best things that Amazon accelerates at.

As far as PrimeNow, there is a drop down to select the quantity before you ad it to your cart. If it only shows 1, they only have 1 can available. Make sure you're using primenow.amazon.com.

I haven't really used Amazon Fresh, because all of that stuff you can get on PrimeNow and it's a 2 hour same day delivery window.

Just canceled prime - grocery has no dates at all and packages are very delays - they're not adapting adequately,

Did you ever think that perhaps rather than being an Amazon issue it's a supplier fulfillment issue?

I just ordered something sunday that got here today. I also needed some cables and found some that were a month out, but that's because they're from China and probably delayed - ended up finding some that must have been stocked in the states that I will be getting tomorrow.

Groceries have no date? Well that flat out isn't true. I got two deliveries in the past two days within the two hour window.

Last week I ordered saline nasal spray and opted not to go with prime shipping since I knew they are busy. Instead I went with sub and save since those come on the 25th which isn't much longer. Now the damn item isn't in stock or will ever be in stock again and my nose has been bleeding for months. No good deed goes unpunished.

Had some stuff from Amazon show up the other day about a week or so after I ordered it. Honestly I'm surprised at how fast it came given the situation. I don't have prime.

I made sure to stick to stuff that says "fulfilled by Amazon" though so selection is more limited but for the things I needed I was able to find them.

Ever occur to you that different places have different fulfillment times? Groceries - zero time slots available. Same with fresh direct and instacart was 3+ days. Target's our go to now, but still with delays (usually next day)

So, I went looking today for a particular canned food item and found it with Shipped from and Sold by Amazon. Only problem is the March 30th available date that also said ship dates would be between April 25th and May 2nd. I'm guessing the extended delivery times is just in case their March 30th inventory date drags on because I cannot imagine they getting the product on the 30th and not being able to ship it on my Prime account for 3-5 weeks. And I guess this canned food isn't deemed essential, either.

On an oddly strange side note, on the 19th I ordered item for my wife through an Amazon.de partner while logged into the Amazon.de website. I've bought here before but this was the first time I ordered through them to access inventory of one of their resellers. I just checked and the item has already passed through the Miami, FL port authority. LOL No, this is not an essential order of kraut but an article of clothing (jacket). This German reseller is doing a better job, but I guess that's because no one is buying food, drink, and TP from them. LOL

I've been ordering stuff from B&H and Target since Amazon's shipping is so slow now for Prime members for many items.

Why are people so upset about me quitting prime? They are seriously backed up in the nyc area, i put the membership fee toward shipt temporarily, I'll probably go back to prime at some point. Again, 3 or 4 people here seem genuinely upset by prime not working for me right now, why so personal?

Prime now is not available in my area. Amazon Fresh, which I used to use quite often, has literally zero slots available going forward weeks. Actually prime has varied greatly, from about 4 business days to sitting in queue. Again, why is this so hard to believe for people?

Not upset, it is a comment about your little foot stomping tantrum ... People are loosing their jobs, their livelihood, their lives, and you are having a stupid little meltdown over slow deliver of a non-esential ...

To be fair being in New York is the problem here at this time.

Who is having a tantrum? Who is having a meltdown? Am I not allowed to share my thoughts that somehow target/shipt is able to keep up and right now Amazon can not for my locality? Is an opinion a tantrum now? Prime is basically useless for me right now due to the backlog and quitting took 30 seconds. I'm paying for shipt and instacart (still backed up but they give me a date vs no options like Amazon fresh ), is sticking with prime through thick and thin a patriotic thing now? I think ol Jeff will be just fine, though he appreciates your collective concern I'm sure.
