Hello,
I was wondering which monitor I should get (using Dual 6GB NVIDIA GTX 980Ti):
ASUS 27" ROG SWIFT PG278Q G-SYNC 3D Monitor:

or the
ASUS 29" PB298Q UltraWide 21:9 LED Monitor:

Will be using for gaming, video editing and stuff like that.

I would be looking at either the Acer XB270HU (1440p, 144Hz, IPS, G-SYNC) or wait a month or two and get the Acer XR341CKA (3440x1440, Ultrawide 21:9 IPS, 75Hz, G-SYNC).

XB270HU Review:

XR341CK Review (Freesync Equivalent):

Getting a 60Hz panel with 2 980Ti cards would be a waste to me, better to get something with G-SYNC and higher refresh. Swift is a very good panel but the XB270HU is better for around the same money.

Not to mention Asus's "less than 10 dead pixels == no replacement/labor policy"...

edit:
I guess the G-SYNC version is going to be called the Predator X34 now, no CKA.

I was an early adopter of 1920x1200 back in the day and then 2560x1600.

This G-Sync XR341 seems like it'll be my upgrade from the dell 3008wfp I've had for many years now. It's a fantastic display still but I'm looking forward to a change.

And also supports 100Hz, not 75 in G-Sync mode. I think this would be the ideal choice if you have the funds.

only rumored.. yet very doubtful.. unless some magic sauce is allowing acer to add a near 70% overclock on the LG panel's stock rate. +15hz likely, +40Hz doubting it
