Make sure you reboot the iPhone after doing anything in Cydia. If you got an invalid SIM response that means ultrasn0w didn't take and you should try reinstalling.

If you got "Call Failed" messages on T-Mobile, well, turn airport on and off and reboot lots. All in all, keep rebooting until it works?

Any extra steps that someone would need to take?

I'm probably going to run this on my 2G and my 3G. Have to update another 2G and a 3G for my relatives.

The 2G doesn't need Ultrasn0w, just the 3G. The 2G unlock is contained in PwnageTool and Redsn0w, as it's rather simple to defeat the 2G's baseband.

Did this last night for a friend, and it worked wonderfully. Had to call TMobile to switch to the compatible data plan, but other than that, no hiccups at all.

Where'd you get that IPCC from? That would be great to have.

Right here

Be sure to check your APNs. I had to change the one for MMS to wap.voicestream.com, whereas the rest are internet2.voicestream.com

BTW I don't suppose if any of you knows whether I need to re-jailbreak and re-unlock my iPhone 3G if I moved it from a Windows system to an OSX one? Currently have it done on my S10 instead of my Macbook.
