Budget is around $400.

Key features I need:
- As SMALL as possible. I love bringing my camera in a pocket anywhere
- 3x optical zoom. Digital zoom sucks so bad
- At least 3 megapix.
- Prefer SD Card since I already have one, but it's not a deal breaker.

Thoughts?

Very nice, but expensive! That screen is crazy big.

It's about $420 or so, still reasonably close to the around $400 budget. ;)

The huge LCD is nice, but it's the optically stabilized lens and ultra-fast processing that makes it special though.

Casio Z55
Canon SD300
Sony T1
Sony W1
Canon S410
Maybe consider the Casio S100 (may be too small though)

out of the above I prefer either the Casio Z55 or the Canon SD300

check www.dpreview.com for pics and reviews. too lazy to link.

oh yea, I have the Sony T1, its really small and big screen but image quality is seriously lacking in low light and flash photograph has a very small range.

I was looking at this one as well. Love the styling.

I'm lovin the Panasonic, but I really think it's too thick.

I'm used to the CAsio Exilim line of cameras. Those things are freakin small

I only wish I could get another one of those plasmas. Unfortunately, their 42" ED models are on national backorder. :( Come on Panasonic, if you're going to create something great, at least be able to deliver em.

Word on the street is the 2.5" displays on the Panasonic cams make the pics look pixelated since the LCD does not have enough pixels to compensate

Here you go.

Canon S410, 4 MP, 3x optical zoom, includes a 512MB CF card and costs $339 after $20 mail in rebate. It's about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
