Yep. I do support in their forums and since I know so many folks around the intraweb, I try to hook up review sites with product and advertising (like getting the Aluminus banner on top of these forums for the last three months.)

BTW, I know there was some hubbub and your testing methods have changed, but I do miss your old PSU reviews. Are they still linked somewhere? I'd like to show someone your review of those three Powmax units - you know, the one where two of them let out the magic smoke?

Yep again. Because of some forum trolls that claimed I was biased and some individuals at some companies that didn't like the way their product faired in my reviews claiming that I was preading FUD, I deleted almost everything from my blog and PSU Inquisitor. I don't review Ultra product, have no links to Ultra products reviews, even though reviews I did do were done before I did any work for them. I even took out links to reviews I had done of other power supplies that didn't use the same testing methodology and/or scoring system because I was getting people complaining that they were "inconsistant". Internet is full of enough bitching and moaning. I don't need a bunch of it spouted off in my direction.

But if you want to find the old reviews, they still show up easily on Google. Just type "jonnyGURU" and the name of the power supply you want to read a review about, like "Powmax Assassin" for example. ;)

" beyond 265W the power supply blew up. I let the magic smoke out."

LOL, Google worked... at least on the ones I specifically remember.

From my research/experience...the 500w Ultra X-Connect PS (built by Youngyear in early 2005 and later) with the 34A on the 12V rail is very solid (and I'm running 2 of them as I write this).
