I also jumped on this deal and here is my impresion:
-very powerful psu with 34A on the 12v rail (i had an antec true380 before this and my system randomly would not be able to boot into windows or it would randomly reboots. THis was just with my mobil 1.8 ghz @ 2ghz and 1.65volt. I now have it at 2.2ghz and upped the voltage to 1.7 and with this ultra x 500watt have not seen a sinlgle crash and windows loads perfectly every time. At first I thought my abit nfoce2 mobo was the problem but i guess it was the psu.
-very good looking psu with black glossy mirror finish
-I did not find this psu to be loud contrary to what other ppl reported. I like a quite system and with all my case fans and cpu fan on, i cannot hear this psu. So I turned off all case fans and my cpu fan to try to isolate the noise coming from the psu. I then noticed that the fan on the motherboard was still louder than my psu fan. Unless you have a completely fanless system, I don't see how this psu can be noisy.
now some bad parts.
-not sure if i have the latest version or not, but I think the cables are a stiff when compared to the regular wires on the traditional psu.
-using abit eq i get the following voltage readings
3.3v = 3.33
12v = 12.52 (this one concerns me but according to ATX specification, 12.6v is tha max allowable voltage on 12v rail)
5v = 5.13
