if you need the following; add x-connect cables for:
add cost of sata cable $10
add cost of pci-e $10
add cost of 20 to 24 pin $10

final cost 25 + 30 = $55 after MIR

its easier to just go buy the ANTEC Modular SP500 at $67 for $12 more + ship IMHO -

clarification - a very good PSU for price if u dont need all the above.

you've heard wrong, have some people had issues? yes. People love to poop on this PSU, the stories you hear are way overblown. I've owned tons of PSU's, this one is awesome. I paid $100 for it, and would pay $100 again in a hearbea.

They are pretty good power supplies. If you go to ultra products website and register, you get a lifetime warranty on it. Normally their PSU's have a 3 year warranty unless you go to their site within 30 days of purchase and register for the free lifetime warranty.

they're good psu's, i've used a 500w in a family member's build. it's quiet and solid.
do some googling and you'll find a couple reviews (all good) and the "innards" are quality stuff as well, it's not all about looks with these.
