Ok so I ordered one. I allready got my ultra 500 psu FAR and got in on the 2x1gig sticks of PNY DDR2 for 100.00 AR. I'm trying to build the cheapest C2D rig :D
Will this case and psu be good enough gor the E4320 that's coming, maybe even try the free ECS board...

For those asking, I've gotten all of my rebates on these Fry's deals, except for the ones that I've ordered in the past month.

Most of the rebates on these cases I have done before were through OnRebate (I wish these were also), but these appear to be through another company. I haven?t heard of anyone not getting their rebate. I hope so anyway, after ordering another case last night I will now have four rebates out on these things.

I swore to myself I wouldn?t order another, but damn, the thing ends up costing .39 cents. Even if I throw it away in the end, I get .39 cents of thrill out of having the DHL guy bring me a package. ;-)

At the very least it gives me a backup front panel in case one of the others gets hosed.

One other point of interest is that Ultra offers a lifetime warranty on these cases if you register. Not much that could go wrong, but a cool feature none the less in the event the USB connectors get hosed or the door breaks of or whatever.

For what it is worth, these rebates can be tracked here:
http://www.rebate-zone.com/default.asp?PN=U00138

I can see the three I currently have out listed there as "Received, Submission is being processed". The submission dates range from 1/3/07 to 1/25/07 so I?m expecting (hoping) to receive the first one shortly.

There is also a contact number of (866) 871-4973

a decent, mid-tower case with adequate features/build quality--good choice for a basic system. May be a little cramped for long MB's. Doesn't come with a fan. No problem with Ultra's rebates as long as you follow the rules and play the game right (many people don't know how to submit rebates and miss out on them; and that's what the manufacturer is banking on to break even on the FAR deals). Can't beat a freebie, right?!

I have four Ultra rebates that have been sent to the rebate-zone rebate house at White Bear Lake. None are showing up in their system and two of them are from January. It does get me a little concerned when the rebate forms says 8-10 weeks to get your check and after 5 weeks the rebate isn't even in the system. I stumbled upon a link to the Ultra forums that are discussing this very issue I have. It might be helpful to some. Rebate-zone at the Ultra Forum
Thanks for the thread OP but I think I am going to wait for my four outstanding rebates to show a little movement before I jump in again.

I submitted rebate mid Jan. 3 days ago I received an unsolicited e-mail from them saying rebate has been received and is processing, allow 6-8 weeks. Encouraging, but I'm not expecting it very soon. Decent case. It's not small or light but very sturdy with excellent airflow.

I got one of these the last time it came up, flipped it on ebay for 35 BIN + 15 shipping. Free money is always good.

I will probably do the same to this one once I get paid.

Case showed up this morning already. Very happy with Outpost.Com after ordering 50 or so times over the last couple years.

I recently purchased this through Radioshack.com and it was FAR with a $30 rebate. What i'm wondering is can i buy this one from Frys and still qualify and get a rebate back?

Any thoughts?

-EDIT-

After looking at the rebates and my copies of the one i sent off their the exact same Rebate address and company.

As long as the promotion IDs or whatever you call it are different, you should be fine. I'm pretty sure that is the case. :)

I hope the hell so or I am screwed!

Seriously, all the rebate forms read:

Limit one rebate offer per person, billing address, company, household, organization, and receipt/invoice during eligibility period.

I believe the key to your question is the last three words "during eligibility period."

The eligibility period for this one is 02/28/07 - 03/28/07.

Several of us have submitted and received quite a number of rebates on this case from both RS and Outpost over the past several months.

I currently have $200 worth of rebates out with Ultra.

"now where are these free deals on teh mobos and cpus?"

You know, NewEgg ran a 3400+ CPU/ Gigabyte MB combo awhile back for $99.

I bought 3 and have been very happy with them. Wished I would have bought more. They all sit here and run 24/7 with no issues at all. Heck they even have onboard vid which works fine for their intended applications (Vid encoding, security system, etc.)

Combined with the free Ultra cases, free Ultra PS's, almost FAR memory, hd and dvd drives from Staples they made for really inexpensive systems for general use and thanks to Ultra they all match. ;)

The combos NewEgg has now don't seem near as good to me.

Yeah, I need to update that photo, I now have a 6th case to fill in the hole. ;)

I believe the best part of that whole deal is to watch my father as he tries to deduce just *how* these companies can give away this stuff. I try to tell him most people aren't as religious about their rebates as I am, but still the possibility exists they could get zero if everyone sent in their rebates. And I have to wonder how many don't when it's a significant amount like 40 bucks.

I'm in for one. Did you print the online invoice to send in for the rebate? Free is always good. Thanks Tomer
