I got the Ultra UV wizard case that is featured here:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications...item-detailsInactive.asp?EdpNo=1075606

Anyway, I am not ready to build yet but have a question in advance (waiting on my psu to arrive)

I am not too familiar with standoffs. Looking at my case, it looks like it has the dome-shaped ones that mechbgon mentions in his guide here:

http://www.mechbgon.com/build/caseprep2.html

Note that there are no brass standoffs...just dome shaped ones. So do I just line up my board with those dome shaped standoffs and screw the board in?

Also, if anyone has this case, any advice?? Anything I should keep in mind or watch out for when i put everything together?

Yes... just place the mobo on the dome stand-offs. I dont have the case, but I have a case that's very simaler to it. Use good fans to ventilate the system because those fans won't blo much air. Also, as soon as u get it, take off the air duct for the CPU fan. Place a 80mm fan there for more air.
Once u get used to it, and are bored with it, get the dremel out and drill a few holes in the window for even more ventilation. If u post ur system specs, I can help u out more, or more people will post and make it easier.

I just moved my rig to that case. I mounted the MOBO on the dome shaped stand-offs with no problems. I added one brass standoff, since my board had an extra hole that wasn't over one of the domed ones.

The CPU duct is just an annoyance more than anything. I moved my 80MM Arctic Cooling exhaust fan where the duct was, and haven't yet added a true exhaust fan. I'm still seeing temps approx. 4C below my previous case.

All in all, a very nice case for the money.

After opening the front door on this case, I couldn't close it afterwards. I noticed that the power button was lying in the way. I thought it was broke off (during shipping). Then I stuck the power button into the socket that it seemed to belong in, and it seems to click on and off without any problems. Was your power button loose also inside the door???

Here's my board (abit VT7):

It looks like there's a lot of holes (I count 10)

Here's a pic of the case layout:

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can I just attach the 6 holes that line up with the 6 dome shaped mounts in the case? Or do I have to add studs to attach all of the holes?

The reason why I ask is that I read somewhere that adding too many unnecessary screws increases the chances of a short.

No, my power button was intact. As long as you got it back in, and none of the wires came loose, you should be fine.

As for the 10 vs. 6 issue, I would imagine that you don't have to use any additional standoffs, but you may want to use a couple extra if you can, just for additional stability. I wouldn't worry about a short. I've never (knocking on wood) shorted a MOBO or any other component before.

Well i think it was just a cap to the power button (it has the universal power on symbol on its face)....it had a peg and the socket had a little hole. I just popped the cap into the socket, inserting the peg into the hole. When I push it, it seems to work fine. I am assuming that the other end of the socket has the wires attached, etc.

As far as the standoffs I am assuming they are included in that bag of screws, etc that comes with the case

Yes, there should be plenty of extra standoffs in the bag. I just ended up using one from my other case.

On a side note, FedEx just delivered my Blue UV exhaust fan :D
