Here is my system setup:
Intel 800eb
Abit SE6
128 PC133
Creative Annihilator 2
IBM 75GXP

I'm only getting scores of around 2300 at 1024x768 16bit using 3DMark 2000. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Brian

make sure your AGP apature is above 4megs
preferably equal, or half of your system memory

Packet,

My aperature was set for 64megs. I also downloaded the latest drivers from Creative and still no increase in performance.

Thanks,
Brian

I adjusted my AGP Apature from 128M to 64M and the benchmarks went up...not sure why, given I have 256M or ram, but will keep it at 64M

Any ideas why increasing apature decreased score? ...is there a saturation point?

Those are truly terrible scores, since I get 40% higher scores with an overclocked Celeron and V3.

Do you have remnants of your old drivers still? Perhaps it's time to clean out your registry...

Eug,

I dont believe I have any other drivers installed because I just built this computer less than a week ago.

Thanks,

It definitely has to do with your video card. I'm not sure how good the annihilator is but my TNT M64 gives me the exact same results on a Athlon 650@748 rig with all the latest drivers. Couldn't be anything else in my case as I have tried every driver and setting combination known to man.

ITS FIXED!!! I downloaded the "Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility" and got my score up from 2300 to 5427.

Thanks for all your help everyone,
Brian
