Ultra DMA and ATA 100 in Windows 2000?

Hi there, I can't seem to find the enable DMA option for my hard drives or controllers in Windows 2000.

My system specs are below:

P4 1.6a
Abit BG7
512 MB RAM
Intel chipset drivers (installed)
SP2 (installed)

My bios is set for the "AUTO" option for both hdd's.

Did you install Intel Application Accelerator?

If you did you allready have DMA.

Yes I already installed the Intel Application Accelerator program. So that automatically enables it?

you can check by going control panel => system => hardware => device manager => ide ata/atapi controllers => primary (and/or secondary) ide channel => advanced settings.
your dma settings are there and you can change it if you need to.

Yes it does.

Start up the program & it will tell you at what mode it's running at.

Start>programs>Intel application accelerator....


application accelerator is basicaly a glorafied IDE driver.
