Personally, I think that the whole idea of offering peachtree for $165 with a $165 rebate is close to fraud. If they are going to price it cheap, they should price it cheap, not rely on rejecting people's rebates to make money. This also means that they discriminate between users(by saying 1 rebate per customer, businesses that need multiple copies supply almost their entire revenue), which I am not sure is a violation of any law or regulation, but is against the spirit of free trade, just like M$'s charging $500 for MS Office or Photoshop's $500 for photoshop.

Squalish I agree with much of what you said, I too think most software is overpriced,and thats when it works like it should.Rebates should always be paid after we jump thru all the hoops to get them.The govt is supposed to be starting to crack down on companies that commit rebate fraud.Hopefully that will happen...

I'm currently taking an accounting class. The impression I'm getting from the people I talk to is that accountant types like Peachtree better. It seems your average non-accountant type likes QuickBooks better. Whatever the truth is, the one thing Peachtree has going for it over QuickBooks is that you can get it cheap.

check out your local staples clearance..last few times i've been at my staples i've seen a few scanners under $40, and picked up one for $20 before that.
