a chip, intake, exhaust, turbo timer, boost controller can kill the 540i^2, and all that for less than 750 dollars. wrx wagon is still the ultimate sleeper.

Alot of the turbo dodge people own more then one if for no other reason then spare parts 😉. I only own the one but I do have a whole extra tranny and engine setting in the garage.

It's still got that ugly snout and gaping hood scoop. That car is NOT a sleeper.
It's still a WRX. People expect WRXs to be fast, even if they aren't.
A 1985 Dela 88, with a dirty 450hp 455, a stock-sounding exhaust, hollowed out rear seats, missing inner fenderwells and rolling on stock rims is a sleeper
Some of you don't know the definition of a sleeper: A car that looks/sounds/seems slow, but is faster then you.

A BMW will never be a sleeper. It's a BMW.
A WRX will never be a sleeper. It has a huge ass hood scoop.
A sleeper is the kind of car that if the cops were busting a street race, you could drive up and the cops would wave you through without as much of a single question.
Which is why I said a '95 Buick Roadmaster Wagon would be a killer sleeper. With just a little bit of work it could be quite fast (count the hop ups for the LT1...), but nobody ever drives them fast. Nobody has ever seen them fast. If one were fast, it'd be a surprise. 🙂

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Subaru Forester. 250 HP, AWD, and it looks like something a 65-year-old tree-hugging lesbian would drive. you people are even talking about Legacys and WRX's, when neither of those cars has more power and both of them look "faster."

C&D also said they fvcking hated it. they spent the entire article saying that despite the numbers on paper, it was absolutely horrible to drive, and most importantly, was NO FUN to drive.
