Ultimate NES and SNES emulators for HTPC projector gaming?

since all the games back then (SNES, NES, GENESIS) all were 4:3, how does it translate to 16x9?

I have enjoyed emulation for over a decade and never once thought "pfft.. all I have are these rubbish LCDs, I should just give up, I'll never enjoy these games again!" Just add an edge blurring filter and you are good to go. If you must have em, there are a plethora of filters and if you have a powerful enough rig and some time to tweak it, you have mames GLSL mode...

Don't worry Exdeath, I kept a tube TV for this very reason myself. Been trying to get a nice 20-24" Trinitron when I find one that is in decent shape.
