Ultimate Muscle Car! (pics)

That's my fav large muscle car of all time, the 70 is my fav year.

Cool they put the Viper motor in, I'd prefer the more powerful 440 with a set of Indy's myself, but still very awesome.

:Q oh isht! I'm not a fan of muscle cars since i don't know much about them other than the usual f-bodies... but damn... that's nice. that thing will eat those stupid civics like rice. 😉

Please wipe the drool from my face. I don't even like muscle cars but that thing is SCHWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET 😀

I must say that they executed the swap rather well, but unfortunately the car is still going to handle like a shopping cart because of the unequal control arm setup in the front and the solid rear axle out back.(Not to mention a weight distribution that is going to be somewhere around %65 F / 35% R)
The 60's dodges were known for serious wheel hop (More so than chevy and Ford) because the Dodge boys hung the rear axle on leaf springs that were bolted to sheet metal instead of the frame.

60's technology....😛

Roger

You got that right! I had a '68 Roadrunner with a 383. I've got lots of trophys from my drag racing days and that damned wheelhop was the only thing keeping it from being quicker!

That car is sweet, but I think they ruined a good Mopar....a 426 hemi would suit it better.

Now if that were just a SUPERBIRD...........

Or the dodge equivalent the daytona..

LINK

Not that I care that much for either Dodge's or Plymouth's.

(Drag the links from here down)

How about a The Machine

Or a Hurst S/C Rambler Scrambler

Though these AMX were always my fav.'s

And again AMX

680 horse AMC motor not bad for a SMALL
BLOCK!

BTW: Both the Rambler Scrambler and the Machine had, 340 horse 390's, 4:11 posi, rack and pinion, Hurst comp.+ linkage, super T10 four speed.....they were SWEET factory racer's.

Craig Breedlove (of spirit of America fame) also raced AMC'S 🙂

<< Nice. I couldn't even pay for the gas for this beast. >>

They offer a "Air-Fuel Support" option much like when F117-A's refuel in mid air by one of the flying tankers.

All you gotta do is hit up the support on your cell phone and they give you the location of the nearest fuel tanker en route to your area 😀

Wheel hop, schmeel hop just helps mix the fuel and octane better ;-)

Pretty cool, wonder if they will ever start retroing muscle cars body styles like they have with the PT cruiser and prowler.

Never been even remotely an AMC fan, but have always like the AMX's as they remind me of the car from Mad Max 🙂
