Ultima VII fans and guitarists!

I just finished tabulating Stones from Ultima VII and record a 3 guitar track version of it 🙂. I need to find my recorder so I can have some sort of wind instrument in there.
The recording is really bad, and there are some mistakes, but I am recording this into an mp3 player and then playing that into some shareware wave editor 🙂

The Mp3

My next venture is to try the Overland them from the original Dragon Warrior 🙂

Thanks! It's a crappy recording and my timing was off a bit but I am just happy to finish the tablature. My next recording will actually use a bass.
I figured out by listening to the mp3 from the Ultima VII soundtrack. It's a lot nice than the midi... PM me if you want a copy.

I think that little mistakes add flavor and uniqueness to a song. As long as they aren't blatant, and the musician keeps playing without missing a beat, I don't mind 'em.

Cat - I come form both schools... I love tight accurate playing like Yngwie (don't laugh), and the prog rock sound. Also love the chromatic sounds of jazz and the droning of some obscure stuff. My goal is to emulate the sound of the recording I heard, not really to make any personal marks on it.

Spike2756 - you met Richard Garriot?!?! What's he like? I have just imagined him as a geek like any other RPG'er like myself... he just had the added talent of programming in him.

Don't forget to save the tablature! I am 99.9% sure it is accurate. The fingering could be different, but I liked the sound of it when played on the high e string.

Lol, he looked and talked pretty normal, though I only said like 4 words to him. I was an intern for a game company this summer when he came and looked around, I guess the company was trying to get him to help us publish the game or something like that. we also had the presidents of Ubi Soft and EA come in and look around. I am not a RPGer myself, but it was nice to be in the presence of such power... 🙂

Spike2756 - What kind of job did you have and how did you get it? My dream is to work for a computer game company! Even though I have a system administrator type job, I would love to learn OpenGL and AI programming.

Vortex22 - That was pretty cool! I am guessing this is fan favorite Ultima VII song?
