I've tested with it on an off and I don't know if it is still suggested or not, but I can tell you it doesn't make any difference (that is noticeable in benches or actual gameplay) with my 7970s in CF, if that helps.

I have witnessed less stuttering and generally smoother frames on both my rigs #1 & #3, 7950 cfx and 5850cfx respectively, but that was a while back, maybe even before frame pacing was introduced in catalyst.

I will gladly do some more testing, now that you reminded me.

I am also curious if Windows 7 and 8.1 could make a difference also in the matter of ULPS.

I have always disabled. Mainly due to second card getting stuck in full 3d clocks after exiting games and errors in monitoring software.

Ive got 290's in crossfire on windows 7. On 14.6 RC2 and 14.7 RC1 I have had no problems leaving ULPS enabled over a 1-2 month period. So i've left it enabled.

From what I read on forums it is still recommended to disable ULPS in crossfire setups.

With 290CF and Windows 8.1, I haven't come across any situation that needed ULPS disabled.

I had blue screens with it enabled so I disabled it. I'm using 14.4 drivers.
