UK has the best flag! Most others are lousy =/

Jamaicas put some effort in, USA looks okay but the vast majority are pretty rubbish.

UK definitely has the edge when it comes to flags:
9/10 - Good colours, pattern, nice aesthetics! A model for others to follow.

The mighty nation of Germany, starter of two world wars and this is the best they could come up with... Pretty lousy IMO!

German flag:
4/10 - Poor effort, boring pattern, colours are okay though

Current best superpower the USA's flag is okay... it misses the mark on a few points though.

USA flag
6/10 - Reasonable effort, good colours, but no symmetry so not as nice to look at as the UK flag

Why not just modify this thing? Its more aesthetically pleasing. You could make the stars smaller to fit more in or maybe move the stars to the red parts etc.

Jamaican flag:
7/10 - This is a good start! Good colours, symmetry, but its a bit barren, maybe add a few stars or a pony somewhere give it some character.

I can sum all these up in one comment. Obvious plagerism going on here! You have set aside the time to declare yourself independent from the rest of the world and be recognised as such but you cant be arsed to come up with an original visual representation for yourself, see me after class! 😡

Look closely. You cannot hang up the UK flag the wrong way and still have it be "correct". It's not as symmetrical as OP thinks!

I've always loved my country's flag (S Korea). It's vibrant, stands out of all flags, and it's beautiful:

Props to Japanese flag for sheer simplicity that brings forth boldness. A rising sun.

India is a big meh:

I like Brazil flag, a unique design:

Australia is not exactly unique, sporting the union jack at top left. But those scattered stars and overall design is pretty to me:

IMHO, American flag has to be among the worst design.

The stars are on different side of the flag pending which side you are viewing it from, and is confusing even for its own citizen.

Agree about the (presumably South) Korean flag.

I think the Indian flag should at least get points for the fact the spinning wheel bit in the middle has some actual historical meaning.

Of course, if we were dioing national anthems I don't think my country (UK) would do very well at all. Its a dirge, nobody likes it. France would beat us easily (their anthem is far more stirring than ours, whereas their flag is dull), I can't remember the US one, except that its about some guy called "Rockets" Redglare.
