I've watched The Office about a thousand times, just finished Peep Show, and am about to start on Spaced. Any other recommendations on some british humor?

see if you can get any of Harry Enfield's stuff. Or Spitting Image. They are not new... but man oh man funny as hell!

Loved it... with the exception of the money/shopping things.
I was just there for three weeks, this past Oct/Nov. I had such a great time. Old stomping grounds and seeing VeggieFrog's place.

:) :) :)

League of Gentlemen and Black Books are amazing shows. Red Dwarf is good (although a bit of an acquired taste).

I would thoroughly recommend Alan Partridge (Knowing Me, Knowing You, I'm Alan Partridge etc...), The Day Today and Brass Eye

Extras (the new Ricky Gervais series) is awesome.
I also heard good things about the original UK version of Coupling.

Your profile says that you are in Iceland. I dont know what things cost there, so do not know if London shopping is a bargain for you. For me... most things cost at least 1.5x to 2x there what I would pay for it here.

plus money is a lot easier to come by here than it is there.

But VeggieFrog is there... she grew up there, is in college there and will be there for at least another year. So, I will go there every chance I get, no matter the cost.

Plus, where i lived... the North East is gorgeous.

:)

whereabouts in the North East did you live?

I lived in a town Called Guisborough, Cleveland. post code TS14
VeggieFrog goes to York Uni.
She is currently taking a year out to do an internship with a company in Rotherham.

While I lived in the UK I took day trips all over the UK quite often, but not down as far as the London area. I had enough of the London area when I had VeggieFrog's custody battle in the strand. ;)

But The North Yorkshire Moors, the Cleveland Hills are places I went to hundreds of times.

Lancaster/Wakefield up thru Northumberland, and parts of Scotland... been around most of it for day trips.

One of my favorite places on the planet is Ravenscar.

:)
