Uhoh! I opened a mail and it made an online purchase automatically!

I went to hotmail and I saw a mail from a name that looked ALMOST like my friend's saying "I've found you a job." Didn't look like junk mail, and I opened it and saw that it was.

Then I hit back, and MSN tells me something to this extent:
"This mail is an Active-something email and any scripts that have run, for example making an online purchase, may be repeated by pushing the Back button. Are you sure you wish to do this?"

Now I'm not sure if it even MADE an online purchase. But if that junk mail had the Active-whatever and did something bad.... I dunno! Scanned with AVG, no virus.

I was using firefox, so hopefully I'll be protected-ish right? Ugh. No!!

Avoid all mail by this name/subject

And if you're not paying for it you don't know what you're missing out on. I can sell a super double deluxe account for just 29.95/month!

Ah, I see you're on page two of the internet...
PMFG I FINISHED PAGE 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111 I KNOW HOW TO DOWNLOAD FILES NOW.

Blah.
Truth is:
-I clicked a mail that looked like it was sent from a friend ("Bob Ayer" vs "Bob Allen") so I'm like hmm.... and the problem with hotmail is that it never reveals the email address, just the name. I did get this message about ActiveX, but I'm sure it was a firefox message, but the mail DID run some scripts. IIRC I do remember firefox telling me that "This page contains scripts that need to be installed to run" and I declined.

Just posted on AT to double check.

And nope, I use gmail mostly. Hotmail's my junk mail account (forums, mailers etc etc) but it used to be my personal account.
