uhh simple html editor?

So I list on eBay alot and do all my html coding by hand.

In windows, I would have an html file, open it in notepad, edit to my hearts content, save as html, and I had what I needed.

I tried to do a similar thing in MacOS; right click, open with -> TextEdit, and up comes this half rendered webpage. wtf mate, just give me text, I shouldn't be seeing this.

So, uh, how do I do what I need to do?

TextEdit by default is more like WordPad than NotePad. If you open up the preferences, (Command + ,) then you can set it up to only open files in plaintext.

Just gave this a shot, and I like this solution a lot. It's much quicker than TextWrangler, and while there isn't any HTML color coding.. it's great for quick HTML edits (ie eBay listings).
