I recently tried to flash my ECS K7VZA motherboard with the lastest revision, however while in the middle of upgrading the bios -my power in the house went out!!!!! When the power finnally came back on I turned on the system and everything ran smoothly, but then four loud beeps would ring and then the system just shuts itself off. This happens every time I boot up, and I just got this system up and running too! What can I do to remedy this situation, thank you. Must I RMA?

Try using the del key when you turn on your system and get into the bios as quickly as possible. Load the default settings, save and exit. Then the next time you turn on the system, you can go back into the bios and change the settings back to where they were.

It wont even POST 🙁 I don't know anyone with the same mobo where I could hotflash & swap bios chips.... I guess I need to get a new mobo, I was looking to get a new K7S5A anyways but still I used the K7VZA for only 45 minutes and its trashed!!!!!!!

Well I took the bios out and am ordering a new bios, hopefully it'll work.

Do you have another motherboard that isn't too old? If so you might be able to hotflash the BIOS chip. It sounds hard but it isn't too bad. Basically you boot up the good motherboard, pop out the BIOS, put in the bad BIOS, flash the bad BIOS, power down. It helps if you loosen the good BIOS in the socket just enough so that you can remove it when the motherboard is powered up.

The chips need to be close to the same - as in they have to be the same voltage. You can check the voltage of the chips by looking up the part numbers on the web (might need to remove the stickers).
