Yikes. Bundling confirmed by Kotaku staff at Manhattan Beach & Burbank stores...we'll have to see just how bad the bundle will be on Friday.

Fry's did a similar thing in the Bay Area with the 360 last year, though it wasn't too bad. I think it was an extra controller and 2 games IIRC. Best Buy will most likely have a bundle as well as they did the same with the 360 also.

Bundling it with 8 games is a crappy thing to do. But in my eyes it's much worse that they're deliberately trying to hide this from people.

I wonder if you can buy the bundle and then return the unopened games....

It's simple. Resellers are not going to buy games, leaving retailers high and dry on profit margins.

They are looking after their best interests.

Exactly, the only game from either system you might be able to resell at full value (or perhaps even a profit) would be Zelda.

Although they're screwing the resellers, the little guy also gets screwed unless he actually wants all or at least a majority of the bundled games...
