I never downloaded a Metallica song, but I had Napster for a long time. But those bastards banned me anyways. I used to like Metallica, now I hate them because I have to use Scour, which is utterly repulsive.

you can still use napster....do a search on what to remove from you registry and you can reuse napster.

Actually you used to be able to delete the Napster entries in the registry &amp; just creat another logon name, with the older versions of Napster, if you got banned. But this latest version uses both windows ID &amp; your website as a identifyer. So, if you have the latest version, just deleting the napster registry entries &amp; creating a new name isnt good enough, &amp; neither is logging on with another address, you have to change windows IDs as well.

That's what Scour is good for but, I agree with Descend...It is terrible as far as stability and everyone's always after your JPEGS! It crashes when I have my D/L folder open while I'm using it. As far as Napster goes, I'll certainly be waiting close by with check book in hand when it becomes a pay site and they offer an IPO.

Here's the answer: Don't share your files if you don't have enough bandwidth. Napster is GOD (except for the fact that those aging metal-heads are suing them; that sucks).
Those damn old farts haven't put out any good music in years and they're pissed that they're not pulling in enough royalties from their old music which was actually GOOD.
One good thing about scour though is the distribution of a file called &quot;Metallicops.&quot; It's quite funny with it's intensely hilarious lines: &quot;Napster BAD!!; Chubby Good.&quot;

downloading Metallica is one good way. There are others I am sure. Similar to the way of getting banned from this forum (i.e. spitting, J-Walking to name some)

Scour/gNutella aside, CuteMX is the road to walk down.
