# The speaker system did not power on.
# The surround system plays audio and sounds great!

This system could not be powered on. When plugged in to an outlet, the subwoofer, after a few moments, began to make an "electric" buzzing sound. The control panel would not power on at all. The satellite speakers were tested seperately and are all functioning normally.

Uhmmmm... how can it play audio and sound great if the system does not power on (since everything is driven by the subwoofer?

/me scratches head...

maybe he tested the speakers from a different sub...they're just using standard speaker wire.

IIRC, the satellites can be hooked to any amp. It sounds like the electronics are fried, but the satellite drivers are still functional.

*boggle* It's up to $102 for a broken unit. Searching completed auctions for a few dollars more people could buy working ones. Wtf?!?

Yeah, I'm fully aware that they can be operated from other amps, etc.... it just seems like it's a very poor way to state that.

Well its ebay from a seller with only a 95% feedback rating...what more do you expect? 😉

Makes perfect sense to me

# The speaker system did not power on.

I see how this could confuse people, it doesn't make very much sense.
