i just reformatted to escape from win xp, before win xp i had win2k...now iam back in win2k and my digicam drivers won't install. i get

an error has occured during the instalation of this device

the system cannot find the specified file

i have tried manually installing it in device manager, i have tried moving to different USB ports, i tried 2 sets of drivers, i checked out that thing at viaarena.com and no worko, i flashed my bios...maybe i should invest into a CF reader, my digicam is a canon S100

system specs on my sig.

Really! Don't bother. Get a reader. They are faster, easier to use and almost aggitta free.

I am on my 4th digicam, and after the first one, never again attempted to connect it to the computer.

Just slide the media out and shove it in the reasder (actually a reader/writer.)
